Persons that want to build wind turbine generators need to know a few basics before they start.
Wind generators are normally installed on a tower that places them about one hundred feet above ground. This allows the turbine to catch the most wind. At this level, buildings and trees do not interfere with the wind. At lower levels these obstructions would cause the generator to be much less effective. Install the generator at a higher level and you will catch enough wind in many locations to have a steady source of power.
Since wind speeds vary, the amount of electricity that you produce will also vary. Thus, it is important that you have a bank of batteries that you charge with the turbine. The batteries can then provide a steady amount of power to your home by using a power inverter. The inverter will change the DC power into 110 volt AC power that most home appliances use to operate.
Once the batteries are fully charged, the power should automatically switch from charging the battery to another load in order to prevent damage to the turbine and battery pack. Read more...

For a small business begin up there are many elements contributing to their success (or lack thereof). These include the overheads, the earnings, the quality of the product, however more than anything, the marketing. The massive drawback most small businesses have is competing with the bigger firms for exposure. Usually thanks to having a small workforce, a smaller business will be able to provide the same services or products at a lower cost than those larger businesses. It’s also possible to often depend on a smaller company to place more time and care into their creations – as they have a smaller group which makes the product extra ‘private’ (that and you realize they’ve more to lose). Additionally they usually have the higher customer support, again due to a smaller group of individuals and the fact that they have neither the means nor the necessity to outsource their help to another company with a call service etc. Read more...
