The most stressful situations that any couple must deal with is infertility. Even treatments for it can contribute to the stress that the couple goes through. In addition, their infertility can further worsen just by realizing that they themselves are stressed.
What are the various reasons behind infertility stress?
Firstly, it can start from being initially diagnosed as being infertile. After having sex for many months or up to a year, the woman can’t get pregnant. The couple became frustrated and seek the advice of a fertility specialist. One or both could very well end up feeling depressed and inadequate when the specialist diagnoses either partner or both in some cases as being infertile,
Secondly, further stress can be added to the couple who has decided to undergo infertility treatments. Such treatments can prove exceedingly and prohibitively expensive depending on the treatments required.
And the process itself of having to go in and out of doctors’ waiting rooms and hospitals, among other places, waiting with bated breath for results can surely add more stress on top of the existing stress, Read more...

Some couples want to know how to get pregnant fast. There are some ways which can help you achieve that. In this articles, we will explore five of them. Note that if you have any existing medical condition, do consult your doctor first.
Tip 1: Before you try to conceive, improve your health first. Many of the infertility reasons can be traced back to an unhealthy lifestyle. Start by doing some exercise and eat some healthy food. Lose some weight and you will be able to increase your chances of getting conceived.
If you are consuming any alcohol and nicotine, stop immediately. Those have an negative impact on your effort to conceive a healthy child. Next you must relax yourself and stay happy everyday. This will help you to have a healthy pregnancy. It is difficult to get pregnant if you are stressed and depressed.
Tip 2: You do not need to keep having sex during the cycle. Not only you and your spouse will be tired, it only make sex become boring. The key to getting pregnant is to have sex during the right time. It is about the quantity. For younger women, the timing is only about 1 to 2 days in a month that they are able to get pregnant. Epilepsy is a common neurological disorder that is characterized by recurrent and unprovoked seizures. The seizures are transient signs or symptoms of abnormal and excessive neuronal activity in the brain. A large percentage of people all over the world have epilepsy, and it usually occurs in young children or the elderly. This disease is usually controlled, but it is not fully cured with medication. Surgery can be an option but not for all cases. The syndrome of epilepsy will not occur lifelong; some forms are just confined in the early childhood of the affected person. This disease should not be understood as a single disorder but rather as a group of syndromes that has divergent symptoms but all of them involve electrical activity in the brain.
Epilepsy and Women’s Hormones
Women with epilepsy are a special case, and it requires some considerations because of the relationship between the female sex hormones—the estrogen and the progesterone—and the seizures. There are some women who experience fluctuating seizures because of the differences in the amount of hormone present in the body. Some significant times in a woman’s life where hormonal changes are observed are during her puberty stage, during pregnancy, and during the menopausal stages. Read more...

A woman’s pelvic floor is a very critical part of her body. This is because the pelvic floor is the base for the different muscles that control bowel movements and urination. Moreover, the pelvic floor is also important during pregnancy. It has to be strong enough to support the weight of the baby as well as help expel the baby during a normal delivery.
Because of its importance, the pelvic floor must remain a priority for women’s health. This is a must because the pelvic floor is prone to various disorders that can severely affect its function. The incidence of pelvic floor damage to women increases during pregnancy wherein some muscles may be stretched too much. As a result, some women need to undergo surgery to repair their damaged pelvic floor muscles due to pregnancy.
Disorders of the Pelvic Floor
All disorders in the pelvic floor are types of hernia. This means that certain organs protrude because of the inability of surrounding tissues to provide support due to their weakness. A consistent characteristic of all pelvic floor disorders is a feeling of heaviness and pressure as if a certain organ is falling out. Read more...

You should definitely take your diet seriously when it comes to gestational diabetes. It may take some getting used to but keep in mind that it is only for a short period of time. Once you have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes, your physician will help to instruct you on how to better care for yourself and for your unborn child. Sometimes just watching your diet can help, other times, you may have to enlist the help of medication or even insulin during your pregnancy.
A healthy diet is extremely important after the diagnosis of gestational diabetes just as it was prior to the diagnosis. You will want to make sure to cut out as much sugar out of your diet as possible, and to also consume plenty of proteins and vitamins. As a gestational diabetic, you will basically have the same symptoms as a Type 2 diabetic because of the hormones that are produced during the pregnancy. Your body is still producing insulin; however, it may not be enough and a lot of time by following a diabetic diet you will be able to help your body out and possibly even overcome the diabetic symptoms. In actuality, you will want to follow a diabetic menu for a Type 2 diabetic. Read more...

Ovulation occurs when an egg is released from the ovary and passes into fallopian tube. Sperm must fertilize the egg within 24 hours after its release for pregnancy to occur. The body produces a large amount of luteinizing hormone (LH) immediately prior to the ovulation. This generally happens in the middle of menstrual cycle and is known as LH surge. Pregnancy is more likely to happen during this fertile time.
LH surge in urine signals that ovulation is likely to occur in next 24 to 36 hours. The LH ovulation test is preferred to detect the elevated levels of LH in urine or ovulation.
When to take the test?
First, the length of your menstrual cycle should be determined to know the day of testing. If the length of the cycle is 28 days, count 11 days from the day last period started and the 7th day is the day to test. If your menstrual cycle length is 22 days, 6th day from when your last period started is the day, from which testing has to be done. Read more...
