If you are interested in learning about how humans lived in early civilization, a stop at the Banpo Museum on your Xian Tour should be on your itinerary. Banpo is an archaeological site first discovered in 1953 east of Xian in the Yellow River valley during construction of a power plant. It holds the remains of several Neolithic or New Stone Age settlements dating from approximately 4500 BC. Evolution from a hunter gatherer to a farming way of life is what defines the start of the Neolithic or New Stone Age. The Banpo settlements are associated with the Yanshao culture and are considered to be part of the Banpo phase from 5000 BC to 4000 BC of the Yangshao Neolithic culture. The Banpo Museum is located at the base of the excavation site of the Banpo Village. This museum is the first museum built on the actual site of a prehistoric archeological find in China.
The excavation of this site took four years. This is the largest site of the 400 villages found in the Yellow River Valley. As clans had developed by then, inhabitants lived in clan populated villages. This culture is known for its painted pottery Read more...

Chris Paul, arguably the best point guard in the NBA, has chosen to return back to the land in which he won his first gold medal; China.
There may be just a small Chinese presence in today’s NBA, but Chris Paul is forward looking and sees the potential that the world’s most populous nation offers to the NBA.

Trip planning can take a lot of time and effort. When planning, you need to consider the duration of your visit, how much money will be required and where to stay. The biggest choice to make is probably determining your accommodation. Some individuals may prefer a hotel with class while others do not mind staying in an earthy hay shed. Fortunately, there are a few tips for choosing fantastic Xi’an hotels right here.
It is a really good idea to research into any extra incentives Xian accommodation may have before you firmly book the room(s). Depending on the accommodation means that you may or may not have access to certain services, such as: free coffee or tea, free mobile phones or easily accessible transportation devices.
