People everywhere are always looking for a way to lose weight, preferably one that doesn’t make them sacrifice too much. After a lot of trial and error many are finding that the program Every Other Day Diet works for them. It has helped them lose the weight they want while not sacrificing their favorite foods or starving themselves.
But what exactly is it? The basis of the diet is a thing called “calorie cycling” or “calorie shifting”. Basically this plan tricks the body into believing no calories are being restricted, when in fact they are. One day you’ll have high protein meals to burn fat and on the following day you eat your favorite foods in moderation. This is said to keep the metabolism from slowing down so the body continues to burn fat and lose weight.
The diet cycles from “burn days” to “feed days”. A feed day is when you are to consume the recommended daily calorie intake plus 50% more. You’ll eat the foods you love, but by controlling portions. On a burn day you’ll drastically reduce your recommended daily calorie intake to 30% to 50%. You’ll eat high protein meals on those days. Some may choose to fast replacing a feed or burn day, this isn’t part of the plan nor recommended. Read more...

Being thin is the ultimate goal of many people. They imagine all the things that they will do and be once they are thinner. The only problem is that the diet methods that they use will never get them there. One solution is the every other day diet. It provides you with food choices and a freedom that you don’t find with any other diet plans. If people are provided with an actual plan that doesn’t inhibit what they can eat and yet still lose weight more people would be thin.
You diet one day at a time. If you know that tomorrow you don’t have to maintain a strict regimen then you are more apt to diet that day. Most people feel that they are missing out on the food that they really love. You won’t feel that you are actually dieting as are on the diet just as often as you are off.
There is a built in cheat factor with this program. You eat a planned meal on your diet day. Then the next day you aren’t on your diet. You are allowed to eat non diet items. At first you might eat a higher calorie count than normal, but once you realize that you only have to diet that day it becomes easier and you won’t eat as much on the days you don’t diet. The Cabbage Soup Diet is a fad diet that has caught on for years now. Often called the “Sacred Heart Diet” and the “Military Cabbage Diet”, the Cabbage Soup Diet’s real origin has yet to be determined. No one has verified where the diet came from and if it is designed for any group of people in particular but the fact that the diet is sill around after so many years have shown its potential applicability.
The Cabbage Soup Diet has a detoxifying effect on the dieter as the diet is similar to a fast. However, because of the dangerously low levels of protein and carbohydrates in the soup, this diet is not recommended for everyone. Sandy, who has undergone the diet in the past finds it very effective and she has in fact lost eight pounds in just one week. She said she desperately needed to find a diet that can help her lose the pounds in time for her wedding. Although the diet is effective, it is not easy and the dieter should be aware of the implications before undertaking the diet.

Ever since obesity has been termed as an epidemic, it has attracted attention throughout the world. In America weight loss has become an industry. The air is thick with discussions and counter-discussions about various diet plans being proposed by various people.
There is a 5-Factor Diet, Atkins Diet, Bob Greene’s Best Life Diet, South Beach Diet, Cabbage Soup Diet, Carbohydrate Addict’s Diet, Anne Collin’s diet and now you have DASH diet and Fat Smash Diet and Size Zero Diet and …. it goes on!
Proponents of each of these diet plans make claims of how much weight you will lose and how rapidly you will lose weight. Some go to the extent of claiming that you will lose up to 10-12 lbs in a week whereas medical experts warn that such claims are ridiculous and weight loss of such proportions can come about only by losing water which is detrimental to the system. Moreover there is always the danger of gaining weight just as rapidly when you stop working on the plan. Read more...

Diabetes is a serious medical condition in which the body is unable to breakdown food into glucose (blood sugar). Insulin assists in the breakdown process but diabetics have a difficult time producing or responding to insulin and thus require insulin treatment.
To control and reverse your diabetes you need to plan, measure and act. By plan I mean plan a diabetic diet control what you eat, measure your food intake and act through exercise. Sounds simple does it not, create a diabetic diet plan, exercise and manage your weight.
As we all know, any effective diabetes diet plan has to include eating small, low glycemic foods several times per day to both control blood sugar and eliminate rapid blood sugar changes throughout the day. To do this, I have previously tried the SouthBeach and Atkins diets. However, both left me feeling deprived, irritable, jittery, and also left me with significant mental fog.
Help control your diabetes by producing a diet plan it does not have to be full of foods you don’t like, foods that are boring and dull there are thousands of foods out their, recipes for diabetics that will suite you. You just need to read the information, buy the guides the eBooks and then you can eat well and remain healthy. Read more...

Often it happens late at night, just before you crawl into bed.
You’re still feeling a little stuffed from – as usual – eating too much at dinner. You wince as you walk past the full-length mirror in your bedroom and see yourself in profile. You wince again as you look in the bathroom as you brush your teeth. That double chin you’re starting to form. Those cheeks that are starting to round themselves out. The conclusion is inescapable:
“I’m getting fat. I have GOT to lose weight.”
Of course, you’ve told yourself that a dozen times before, maybe a hundred times. But this time is going to be different, you insist, this time, in the name of all that is holy, you are going to make it work. Enough is enough!
But the question remains: What is the best diet? What is the best way to lose weight? Read more...

Snoring is a pretty sucky situation for the one who’s not snoring, but it’s not like you’re the only person in the history of college who’s had to deal with it.You are probably just going to have to stick it out.My roommate’s snoring is probably more annoying than anything. Many people who have had roommates are intimately familiar with this problem -long nights lying awake while your roommate snores away, sleeping noisily and (irritatingly) peacefully.I suggest you smother him with a pillow.Just kidding! There are actually several reasonable solutions that can help him annoy you less and help calm your homicidal feelings.
one of the things that contributes to snoring is extra weight. Of course, no one likes hearing that their problems can be solved by diet and exercise, but it apparently works.Snoring is caused due to many factors like excess fats, drinking etc. However the are also various ways and means which helps to stop snoring.Obese people are more likely to suffer from snoring problem. As they have more fatty tissues in their neck leading to vibrations of the loose tissue.Sleeping on the back can cause snoring as the pharynx which is a muscular tube relaxes while sleeping. This cause narrowing of the airways which cause snoring. So why don’t you talk with your roommate about changing the sleeping position to side ways instead of facing up with back to the bed? Initially diabetes management and control may involve dietary changes alone. Diet is a vital component in your overall diabetes control program and to keep blood sugar levels under control, a diabetic diet strikes a balance among the carbohydrates, fats, and protein you eat, when you control your body functions through exercise and by using a diabetic diet, your pain and agony seems to diminish.
A diabetic diet must be a well-balanced meal plan tailored to your individual needs, tastes, activity level and life style, and its goal is to provide all the calories and nutrients the diabetic needs while keeping blood sugars as close to normal as possible. Diabetes is not a life sentence to a rigid and restrictive menu plan.
The diabetic diet basically involves limiting your carbohydrate intake in order to control your glucose levels. The recommended carbohydrate content of diabetic diet is 60%, fat content 30-35%. Another important characteristic of a diabetic diet is to eat regularly, at the same times each day, and to eat a consistent amount of calories each day; the diabetic diet is not only for diabetics: it is an excellent, balanced alternative for anyone.
