Many have weighed in on the problem of obesity. It has, undoubtedly, earned its name “obesity epidemic.” The problem continues to flare out of control even amidst increased awareness.
The problem is multi-faceted due to the multiple causes behind the problem. One potential cause of obesity is the basic genetic makeup. Obesity very noticeably tends to run in families. This makes it seem obvious that the tendency for obesity is passed along genetically. The actual statistics indicate that children of obese parents have a 25 to 30% chance of experiencing similar obesity issues. Some believe this increased risk is simply biologic.
But other experts suggest it is not biology alone causing society to suffer from obesity. They suggest it is a combination of both cultural and biological factors. In addition to inheriting genes that could leave them more likely to suffer from obesity, children learn bad eating and lifestyle habits from their parents and/or siblings. Negative food choices, and poor priorities when it comes to nutrition increase the risk for obesity greatly. And obesity negatively affects the general health. Read more...

Most fat individuals are eager to loose belly fat fast more than anything else. A good diet and daily exercise helps you get rid of belly fat easily. What’s more, if you maintain a regular exercise program with good diet, you lose weight in standard proportion to your whole body.
The secret to weight loss is as easy as crafting a few lifestyle changes. Be careful with the amount of calorie intake. If you eat more calories than you burn your body will store them as fat that sits in your belly. If you want things to work out for you, remember to discipline yourself.
1. One of the few secrets to loose belly fat fast for instance, is to take on a balanced calorie diet. Calories are major contributors to belly fat, if taken at huge amounts and not burned.
2. Dancing is a good cardio exercise. Burn your calories by dancing, it’s good for the heart, weight loss, and it’s fun! Jump rope is another good cardio. Maintain a ten minute exercise routine daily and you can burn at least 150 calories more each day. Read more...

The United States has seen a large jump in the number of obese people over the last forty years. According to the Body Mass Index (BMI), a metric for gauging body fat, 63% of Americans are overweight. 31% of Americans are obese, and 3.8 million Americans weigh over 300 pounds. The cost for maintaining the healthcare for a large number of overweight Americans is astronomic. This is due to many diseases being connected to obesity including: diabetes, cancer, depression, heart disease, and osteoporosis.
Yet, even more disturbing is the rate at which childhood obesity is rising. This dangerous trend is speeding the spread of many diseases in a lower age bracket. The number of heart attacks for people under 30 has risen significantly over the past five years. Many children now have cholesterol counts that were only seen in much older patients. This trend of childhood obesity, although starting in America, is spreading around the world. The amount of obese children could lead to a global pandemic of type 2 diabetes. Read more...

Fasting is not a good way to tone your arms. It’s horrible for your body and isn’t sustainable. Moreover, you are more likely to rebound once you stop.
Thus, your main goal is to maximize the amount of calories going towards active tissues and minimize the amount of calories going towards inactive tissue. In other words, you want to feed your muscles, brain and organs while starving your fat cells.
This is the secret behind effective and sustainable arm toning.
So without further ado, here is how to tone your arms faster than before by starving fat cells:
1. Avoid evil fat. By evil fat, I mean saturated fat. In addition to a whole range of negative physiological effects, saturated fat blocks your active tissues from absorbing food. This translates into more food going to your arm fat!
2. Have enough non-saturated fat. Non-saturated fats such as polyunsaturated, monounsaturated, etc, will help your body get more nutrients into your muscles as opposed to fat cells. This will really help you tone your arms at a much faster rate. As an added bonus, these fats will help you recover faster from your workouts. Read more...

Well what is it about acai berries that delivers sustained energy?
The biggest energy secret in acai berries is the combination of carbohydrates and dietary fibre, however they don’t provide sustained energy in every food. In all foods, carbohydrates are converted into sugar in the blood. The rate at which this occurs is measured with Glycemic Index (GI), and if the GI is high then the food is digested and absorbed quickly, delivering a fast rise in blood sugar. Examples of such foods are sweets, sugar, and processed bread.
In order to keep the body healthy blood sugar levels must be kept at a normal level. If they rise it stimulates the pancreas to produce insulin, which is the substance that communicates to the cells to start absorbing sugar, in turn causing blood sugar levels to reduce. Foods that are high in GI cuase extra amounts of insulin which results in too much sugar being absorbed after the sugar rush, depleting blood sugar far below the normal level. This then causes the familiar low that people experience after a sugar rush. Read more...

When you’re ready to lose weight shoot for the first 10 pounds. Our fist focus is to pay attention to the amount of food you’re eating. Eliminate those unnecessary sugar and fatty foods from your meals while making delicious meals and snacks that keep your palate happy.
Use this straightforward and super healthy diet plan to lose the first 10, the last 10, or any amount of pounds in between! Because this is a balanced and flexible program, you can stay on this diet as long as it takes.
You need to lose weight by keeping track of what you eat. Cut out fats by eliminating butter, margarine, mayonnaise, oil from your sandwiches and food preparations. You don’t have to write down the calorie count, but write down what you eat.
Use skim milk and make a habit to drink tea. If you insist on using whole milk at least use two percent milk in your diet. This helps cutting down on your fat intake.
Be certain to include legumes, peanut, cottage cheese, chicken, fish, eggs or yogurt. Try to draw the boundaries on your sugar treats to a few times a week max. Eat one or more meatless lunches and dinners each week. Read more...
